Excitement has been taken to another level since James Gunn dropped an interesting detail on the future of DCU. While the DC Universe gears up for its initial salvo with the release of ‘Superman’, fans are too eager to know more about the surprises lined up in the calendar. Many have deduced from this post that another Martian, Martian Manhunter, is soon going to make his way into the franchise.

The Significance of ‘Chocos’

And Gunn’s latest tease showed a picture of a huge pack of chocolate sandwich cookies, which bore the label ‘Chocos’. Now, this is a clear reference to Martian Manhunter’s favorite snack for all you DC fans. ‘Chocos’ in the in-universe comics are Oreos and have been linked to the lore of Martian Manhunter since he was introduced to them by Shazam.

A New Justice League Roster

From very early on, Gunn made it clear that his vision of Superman would be something different from what DCEU fans have seen so far. This will involve his original casting for a new team of the Justice League and therefore form a new dynamic amongst the characters. The Martian Manhunter could be part of this new formation, hinted Gunn.
